Vintage 1920's Celluloid Kewpie Wedding Bride Doll Gift Bridal Shower Decor and Table Decorations CoThis vintage 1920's (not sure but research suggests this date but definitely no later than 30's or 40's) celluloid Kewpie wedding bride doll would be great as a gift, bridal shower decoration or a wedding table decoration. She is dressed in a satin dress with netting over it. There are the mercury beads that are on the dress in various places as accents and at her throat as well. There is also a satin hat that has the same mercury bead accents and netting attached including a ruffle of netting peeking out from the front. The netting extends all the way down her back but there is a shorter piece that is a blusher that can be placed over her face. Attached to her wrist is a pink and cream colored satin bouquet. There are many strands of satin ribbon dangling from this. There are also some mercury beads attached to the ribbons as well. On her body on the back it says 39 cents. Her body is cracked in the front and there is a stain and hole on the long part of the netting attached to her hat or cap. There is also a hole with staining around it on the longer netting in one place as well as three holes just below one of the beads also on the netting. Her hem is down in three places on the front (can be repaired on hem seam. Other than those things mentioned she it is incredible she survived suggesting she was cherished. She measures 15 1/2 inches including the measurement of the train of the dress that goes 7 inches beyond her feet while lying flat. She measures a little under 8 inches when standing. She can stand with a little bit of fussing.
